The story is principally narrated by Sarah, the oldest girl in Jesus’ family and third born to Mary and Joseph, though she shares the narration with Jude and James, the second son of Joseph and Mary. She gives us insight into how it felt to be a sister of Emmanuel (God with us). She reveals the confidential conversations in which her mother Mary shared the intimate details of the miraculous conception and birth of Jesus. The three siblings enable us to see the great events in Jesus’ life and in the early church as the members of the family of the Messiah must have experienced them. They invite you to live with the family following the death of Joseph as Jesus keeps them afloat, guiding them with wisdom and providing for them by using his skills in carpentry. Witness the pride and the embarrassment, the uncertainty and the resolve, the fears, devastation and elation the family undoubtedly felt as they observed the highs and lows of Jesus’ years of ministry. Accompany Mary and Sarah as they experience the undulating passions of that fateful week in Jerusalem, culminating in Jesus’ death and resurrection...
