He instructed him to write letters to the pastors of the six churches concerning what he saw about them. Through the letters, He pointed out the strengths and weakness of the six churches and helped them to be aware of their spiritual condition. Also He rebuked and alerted the churches to revive themselves. The names of the churches are church of Sardis, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Philadelphia and Loadicea. The shortcomings of the six churches in Asia serve as an image of the 21st century churches.
