Most of us - Christians these days, will never believe except we see sign and wonders. Christ’s early disciples, too, never believed that Jesus rose from the dead. Why? It is because they did not have faith and were too stubborn to believe those who had seen him alive (Mark 16:14); (Mathew 28:16-17). When Jesus first appeared to the Eleven disciples - after he appeared to two of Jesus followers on their way to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35). He said to them, “Peace be with you” (Luke 24:36). They were terrified, thinking that they were seeing a ghost, but Jesus said to them, “Why are you alarmed? Why are these doubts coming up in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet, and see that it is I myself. Feel me, and you will know, for a ghost doesn’t have flesh and bones, as you can see I have” (Luke 24:37-39). He said this and showed them his hands and his feet. They still could not believe. They were so filled of joy and wonder. So he asked them, "Have you anything here to eat?"
